Hello my loves,
One of you asked if I could update the black tourmaline sticker from almost four years ago. Which I can’t believe how long it’s been since that drawing was created.
For the last few days, I have created two pencil sketches & digital renders of the illustration.
The first attempt was lackluster, in my opinion. It did not have the movement that's present in the original design. So, I scrapped it and started over. As of today, I attempted another version. Be warned, I am extremely exhausted due to waking super early and having an excruciatingly delayed start to what I was hoping to be a relaxing day, but I digress
The drawing I completed is not half bad, but it feels like it’s missing something? No, it’s not going to be an exact replica of the original design. The goal was to update it using my current style, but I can’t decide if I’ve accomplished said goal.
Let me know what you think, and if you prefer the black backdrop for the sticker, or the white? Most people have said they liked the white backdrop more, saying that it allows the black to pop against the green leaves. I'm not sure if I agree, but my opinion is not the one that matters. It's the opinion of the lovely people who would be purchasing it that does.
