Sagittarius and Turquoise Zodiac

Sagittarius and Turquoise Zodiac

Hello Lovelies,

Last month we talked about Scorpio and Citrine. This month we will be discussing Sagittarius and Turquoise

Sagittarius is from November 23 – December 21

Sagittarius is known for their adventurous and impulsive personality. They are always looking towards their next grand trip, job opportunity, great love, etc. However, despite their spontaneous personality they also have a great mind for business and sports. They never miss their mark and are almost always correct due to their calculated way of looking at things. In earlier cultures people speculated that prophets and seers were born Sagittarius due to their ability to correctly assess a situation.

With such a fiery personality their elemental sign being fire comes as no shock, especially with the multiple myths outlining their boldness and determination not only for living but to protect others.

One of the main ones is from Greek mythology, about the great mentor and healer Chiron the centaur. Within the myth Chiron is accidentally struck with a poisoned arrow from his friend Hercules. Unfortunately, due to his immortality he is unable to die and be released from the pain of the poison. After searching for a cure for multiple millennia he offers Zeus his immortality in exchange for freeing Prometheus. Not only does Zeus accept his offer he immortalizes Chiron’s soul in the stars as Sagittarius.

In another myth Sagittarius is associated with the Mesopotamian myth about Nergal the archer god. However, depending on the era of the myth Nergal is also known as the god of death and disease. Bringing with him chaos and death.

Showing that not only is Sagittarius a curious and benevolent personality. But a soul of great chaos. Which is why Turquoise is one of the crystals paired with this zodiac sign. Not only due the blue-green colors closely resemble the vastness of the sky, aligning with a Sagittarius desire to explore. It also has protective energy to keep them safe while on their grand adventures. Turquoise is also known for its ability to balance the most spontaneous of souls. Reminding them to take a minute to take care of themselves.

As always, thank you for reading! Let me know which fact was your favorite from this month’s newsletter.

Next month we will be discussing Capricorn and my favorites crystal, Labradorite.
